                     As a part of Anti Drug Awareness Programme, a lecture organized by NSS & CGCC of GVHSS (THS) together with Excise Dept. on 16th July 2012 Monday. Professor John K Mangalam, Punarjjani De-addiction Centre, Poomala, gave an overview on the drug abuse and its consequences.

ADOLESCENT CLASS

                A class on the topic “Adolescent Education” Phase I was conducted   by Mr. Sreejith R, Counsellor & Trainer on 7.7.2012 .He at first detailed that the students should have an aim for studying and he emphasized the need of meditation in their life as it will enable them to make their mind tension free. He also detailed the various ways to study like setting a good atmosphere in their house which may indeed help them to tackle their problem connected to their studies. He also dealt with the need of practicing yoga in their life as it will help them to have a control over their mind and to develop their concentration

WARM WELCOME FOR FIRST YEAR VHSE STUDENTS & PARENTS

               

                       The plus one class began on July 2^nd. All the students and parents assembled in the class room. The function started with a warm welcome speech of the Principal, Sri. P.T. Joy. Later the Academic Head of our school Sri. Joseph C P detailed about the courses they have selected and scope of their courses.    Sri. P N Mohanan delivered a speech on the importance of developing character, personality etc. for becoming better students he quoted that “IF WEALTH IS LOST NOTHING IS LOST, IF HEALTH IS LOST SOMETHING IS LOST, IF CHARACTER IS LOST EVERYTHING IS LOST”.

 “SAY NO TO ALCOHOL “ 

“SAY NO TO DRUGS”

          On the anti drug day, that is on 26/06/2012, the NSS students of our school made a procession. They holding placards like “SAY NO TO ALCOHOL “ “SAY NO TO DRUGS” and visited every class room and conveyed the message that drugs are harmful to all. One among them made a short speech in each class detailing its ill effects and thereby prompting all students to persuade the drug addicts (at least the one they see in their house) to stop their bad habits.
